Our partner that will sew the Norra Ljung Outdoor Pants is situated South-east of Hanoi. Their factory is strategically positioned with easy access to major roads that connects them with the international shipping harbor in Hai Phong.
Driving through the Vietnamese countryside you see large landscape contrasts. The modern factory is more or less tucked in between the corn and the rice paddies.
The top of the line factory has three stories and employs around 300 workers. Their very humble manager was really proud to show us the whole facility and I must say that it’s one of the most well-organized factories I have ever visited.
On the way back to Hanoi our driver stopped to get us some traditional Vietnamese pastry, baked in banana leaves, consisting of only beans and coconuts.
