Merino wool socks - UPDATE 3.

Merino wool socks - UPDATE 3.

We are happy to let you know that we are making progress in the socks project!

In the previous update we asked for your color preference and that gave us a clear directions to aim for a tonal color way.

As mentioned befor our intention with this sock is to make it extremely versatile, just like most of our products, but we also want to make this one lightweight. One of those socks you can wear in summer without a problem and during any activity, slow pace to high pace.

Three key areas:
Also as ways: form follows function is a strong guiding star of ours hence was the design made minimal where knitting techniques and colors all serves a purpose.

1. The toe, heel and bottom area are all reinforced for better durability.

2. A diagonal rib around the main foot area to give the sock its needed elasticity.

3. The toeseam is placed on the outside to prevent it from chafing your toes.

Materials:
Even though Merino wool is such a great material it does come with a few drawbacks. It is much more delicate and fragil than any synthetic fiber and that is why one needs to work with a combination of Merino wool and synthetic fibers when it comes to socks.

Our socks is made from a combination of 47% Merino wool, 41% Polyamid and 12% Lycra.
Even though they consist of a mixture of Merino wool and synthetic fibres, it is normal to see some lighter pilling after the first uses and the firs wash. This is inevitable and normal as the material is exposed to a lot of friction, however this will not effect the function of the socks.

Colors:
There are so many beautiful colors and we are currently trying out a blue, a brown and a green version of.

Stay tuned as we are gettting closer!
