Area of use.

This is our ultra light pack that is loaded with features and designed to work not only for hiking but it can also become your go-to pack for all kinds of outdoor adventures. From summer hikes to winter noridc ice skating.

The volume makes it large enough for a few days to a week on the trail. Compress it and it works for that 1-day adventure too.

Product background.

Just like with most of our products versatility is key. We love to play outside and there are so many different activities that we enjoy doing and finding a ultralight pack that can handle them all seemed impossible. All packs within this weight & volume ration are all stripped down to the bare essentials.

We love to hike but we also like to ski and ice skate and anything in-between. But since hiking is such a big part of being outdoors, we did not want to compromise on this pack being made for hiking.

And since hiking will for sure be the main activity for this pack, that was our starting point. Wether you are doing any other activity hiking will probably be a part of that activity too. And as you’ll see the design really originates from a traditional ultra light hiking pack but the way it has been constructed opens up for customisation that really sets this pack apart and makes it great for all kinds of activities.

Functions.

1. Lightweight.
Even though this pack is loaded with features and adjustment possibilities it is still extremely lightweight.

2. 360 attachment system.
Along all sides you find a very versatile hole webbing system.

3. Adjustable back lenght.
The back length can be adjusted between 44cm and 54cm.

4. Large side pockets.
The sides feature large stretch side pockets.

5. Large front pocket.
The front feature a large stretch pocket.

6. Modular.

Thanks to its attachment system all buckles can be moved and placed just the way you like.

7. Roll-top.
The top features a roll-top closure.

8. Seam sealed.
All internal seams are seam sealed with tape.

Back panel.

Lets start by looking at the pack panel. This is one of the areas where this pack really sets apart from most other ultra light packs. First of we have a backpanel that is made from air mesh and ventilate. Secondly this system is also adjustable, it has a 10cm back length adjustability from 44cm to 54cm.

Seam construction.

A seam construction that eliminates the seam allowance without the need a woven binding and creates an inside seam that is flush and really easy to seam seal with tape. The seam even enables us to add in functions like attachment points.

To minimise materials and simplify the construction all seam are also straight which is really good when seam sealing with tape.

Attachment system.

One of the key elements of this pack is the attachment system. Along all sides of the pack and in the top of the backpanel and the top of front pocket, as well as the waist belt there is a hole webbing system that enable you to really customise the pack.

Measurements.

Volume and pack measurements are an important topic and also where weight & volume ration comes into play. There are kind of a standard way to measure the volume a pack but each brand seems to be doing this slightly different to each other and this will have quite a big impact on the over all volume and weight of the pack. So with that said try to find the measurements of the packs you are looking at and compare those.

Please note that the pack is handmade and the meassurments may vary approximately +/-1cm. The weight is also approximately and can wary sligtly.

Materials.

The whole pack is built on a Polyethylene fiber, a fiber that is also know as Dyneema. This particular fabric is called Ultra 200X and is a laminate that consists of three layers. The outer layer is a 200d Polyethylene blend with high-tenacity polyester. The inner layer is a Polyethylene reinforcement cross and then the final layer is a laminated-film backing. This construction creates a really really strong, lightweight and waterproof fabric.

The second fabric that we use is the stretch fabric. This is placed on the front pocket and side pockets on the pack. This is a fabric that is combined with high-tenacity nylon and polyethylene and the result is a extremely durable and stretchy fabric.

The backpanel is built on a 3mm thick air mesh fabric for great comfort.

* Really important to understand is that even if a single material in theory can be recycled or biodegraded there are today currently no standardised recycling or biodegrading systems for textile garments.

Origin.

We believe that transparency plays an extremely important role. Once one fully understand the complexity of production, one can start to change it and that is why we also want to share the true story behind our products. To really understand where a product has been made you have to break it down into all its components and materials. All these materials and components are almost never produced in the same place or country as where the product is sewn.

Care.

In addition to the garment-specific wash instructions, there are some general tips that can both extend the life of the garments and save you a lot of time in the laundry room.

Air: The absolute easiest and best way to keep your garments fresh is to air them. Some materials such as merino wool have natural antibacterial properties. This means that the garment stays fresh much longer. You will be amazed at how fresh the t-shirt feels after being aired on a hanger during the night.

Focus on the stain: Did you get a stain? Focus on it. It is often that garments are washed completely unnecessarily, when you really only need to remove a small stain. In most cases, it is enough to rub a little hand dishwashing detergent with lukewarm water on the stain. Then make sure to rinse thoroughly and hang to dry.

Detergent: Use the right detergent for the right material. There are a plenty of different detergents out there, so try to find a detergent that is both gentle on the environment and your garment. Some materials are a little more delicate, such as merino wool. For these garments, we recommend Organotex wool and down wash.

Specific care instrucitons: Hand wash cold.
